No Tree is Too Big

While we were visiting the IDIA Laboratories Sim, Shae got crazy with an axe and chopped us down a Christmas Tree to take home with us. I thought she had lost her mind and started to fuss at her, but she told me that she had never seen trees like these and she just had to take one with her. And she didn't even break a sweat or freeze to death. Girl, where is your coat, oh ye of super human strength?

A Snowy Place

OMG, Shae and I visited the coolest place tonight.  The snow is incredible.  I am in awe of some people's talent.  It just never fails to amaze me and also humble me because I know I would never be able to think like that.  It is on a whole different level.  

Second Life is getting better and better because people are getting really good at what they are doing and are learning how to use the tools they have to make things so incredible like this sim. If you visit anything this winter go here.  You will not be dissappointed!  AM Radio, I stand in awe.

Shopping

Shae and I have been busy finding all the Christmas fun stuff and I will try to blog about them later, but for now, we went to Stellar and I found this really fun outfit to romp around in the snow.  I think it is my new most favorite outfit. Yay.

Shoe Fair

Shae and I decided to check out the Shoe Fair.  Some of the items you buy are for such a good cause.  All the great shoe designers are there and we have already bought several new shoes.  We have been finding some great places we never heard of before.

Just a little word of caution.  There is lag.  Big lag.  Lost in never never land lag.  Black hole kind of lag. But other than that it is cool. Real cool.  In fact, wear a coat kind of cool. :D

Interesting Skyboxes

Shae and I took a trip to Supplee Designs on the FairHaven Sim to look at Sculpties.  They have some really nice ones here as well as a few other things.  We thought the Skyboxes were interesting and had a lot of stuff added to them.  They are definitely better than the small box with no windows kinda thing. :D

The Black Market Halloween Hunt

The Black Market on the Citrago Sim is having a fun Halloween Hunt. You click on a pumpkin and it gives you a trivia question you have to answer (Random Guess) and then when you get it right, it gives you a nice prize.  There are a lot of great shops here and a bunch of little boats full of freebies just for the taking. :D  Pirates be damned.

The Corn Field

Shae and I visited the Linden's Haunted Corn Field.  It has rows and rows of haunted Corn and also a cool Linden Bear with a bag full of gifts. :D  We walked around in circles for a long time and stuff jumped out at us and there is even a TV in the middle that you can stop and watch.  Very creepy stuff!!!  Shae and I stopped to take a picture before we realized that the tree we were standing in front of was actually alive!

Jo's New Friend

So, I was at the Catty Shack Neko Mall doing the Prize Pumpkin Hunt and went to a shop called Needful Things.  They had a lot of cool stuff in the shop, but there was something about this little bird I just fell in love with.  Maybe it was the way he looked at me.  I just had to have him. :D

Shae's Halloween Dress

Evie's Closet had a cute Halloween gift for Subscribers this year. Shae looks all ready to go Trick or Treating in her dress.  The hat is an especially nice touch.  It is always nice to get unique and well made gifts from designers.  It makes us feel special as customers. :D 

A Touch of Ireland

They get it right at A Touch of Ireland on the Cork Sim.  I was looking around for a Halloween costume that I could wear while visiting all the sites for Halloween prizes and hunts and I came across this beautiful dress and just had to have it. The cute pumpkin head piece comes with it. The whole shop is full of colorful Halloween decorations and tons of really nice costumes.  It is fun just to walk around. :D

Willow Grove Haunted House

Shae and I and our sometimes hunt buddy went on a ride through a Haunted House at Willow Grove. It was a lot of fun. The pumpkin car you rez holds 3-4 people and moves very fast.  It was good because I wouldn't want to hang around in some of these rooms for very long.  It didn't seem like lag was a problem and we moved from room to room very smoothly.  I made a donation at the end and got a cute Trick or Treat bag as a gift.  It gives me candy every time I click on it.  An endless bag of candy...How can that be bad????

Trick or Treat Hunt at Sunny Sim

The Sunny Sim is having a cute little Trick or Treat Hunt with some great prizes.  You get a hud with a skeleton on it and you have to find all the bones to complete it.  Once you find the bones you can go to the participating stores and ring the doorbell to get a free prize.  This is a picture of me wearing the free shirt from Malt.  I love it!! All of the prizes on this hunt are great!!!

New Shredder Tank

OMG!  I just got a cheapie for the month of October in a special color called Reverb at The Plastik. It is called the Shredder tank and they also have an awesome dress version as well.  I loved the discounted version so much I had to get a few more colors and this dress/shirt comes in a very wide selection of colors.   This is me wearing the navy version which is my favorite at the moment.  I love it!!!

Nightmare Eden -- Awesome!!!

Last night, Shae and I had the unique pleasure of getting to traverse our way through the Haunted Space Station called Nightmare Eden created by Pulse/Sn@tch City.  It was the best haunted adventure I have experienced in Second Life since I have been a member.  It was full of all the things you would want to find in a haunted adventure; eerie sounds, mazes, puzzles, tunnels, dead ends, gross creatures, bleeding bodies.  Along with all the gory scary stuff, they have prizes hidden everywhere.  The place is literally bulging with free stuff for you to find that was all generously donated by some of the great designers on the Pulse sim.  It wasn't enough just to give us a really creepy and fun place for Halloween, but they gave us some really cool items to walk away with.  And it is all FREE!!!  These people deserve a big THANK YOU from everyone that makes it out of that place.  I have to say right now, the maze kicked my a$$.  I thought I would rot there before I found my way through. The uniform you get at the beginning is amazing and my favorite item is the flashlight that attaches to the side of your face and emits a blue light everywhere you go.  Believe me, there are a few places you will be glad you have it.  I don't want to say too much about the place and spoil the adventure.  I just have to say it is awesome!!!  Go see it. Now.  I mean it!!

Gatcha Gatcha Festival

Here's a fun thing if you like to take a chance on a prize.  The Gatcha Gatcha Festival is still going on through the end of October at the Cioccolata Shopping Mall on the Hyssop Sim.  You pay the cute bubble gum like machine and it gives you a random prize.  There are so many of them here!!  You can pick up some really fun things for small Linden amounts.  It is amazing and loads of fun.  Shae and I can't seem to get enough of them. :D   Just don't get upset if you get more than one copy of something.  It is still a great deal and most of them have transfer perms so you can give away some of your extra copies.   My favorite is the floating paz dispenser from Kue!!!  

Don't let the gatcha machines keep you from checking out all the fun shops around cause there are lots of them with lots of unique stuff to buy.

Sidewalk Shopping

Shae and I decided to check out the Autumn Fair at the Albero Mall on the Chowla sim. It is going on Oct 17 - Oct 31.  I picked up this really cute Halloween outfit at Acid & Mala while wandering around this very large place. The landscaping is exceptional, especially for fall and it is fun just to wander around all the stellar shops here.  Plus, a few discounts are always welcome and there are lots of them!!

Taking a Break

Shae and I have been really busy lately on hunts, fishing, reading blogs, and shopping.  Mostly shopping.  So, tonight, we decided to take a little break outside Silent Sparrow.  It was a little chilly but otherwise a beautiful place to rest.  The sim is just amazing.

Shae passed out, but that's ok. I think I will let her sleep until she turns into an icecube. lol

We both have our little glowy ghosties we got on the Silver Slipper hunt at the Magic of Oz sim.  It was one of three prizes from Ripusipo.  And I love it.

After we rested for a little while, we decided to go fishing at the Silent Sparrow fishing area.  There are some cool custom items here along with a few special fishes.  We just couldn't help ourselves.  And Shae, well, she is still trying to thaw out. :D

Magic of Oz Halloween

Today Shae and I went to the Magic of Oz sim to search for the Silver Slippers.  I got kinda of lost in some of the shops buying stuff during the hunt.  There were so many people there taking all the shoes before I could find them, I just decided to do some shopping and exploring instead.

While I was looking around I came across this very interesting haunted tree and had to take a picture. :D  The place is decorated amazingly goulish for Halloween.  It has been transformed into a real spooky place.  Makes me wonder how hard it would be for them to put it back once Halloween is over.  But then Christmas comes next.....

My Halloween Broomstick

While I was at Kue! waiting for my initial to come up, I ended up buying all the Halloween stuff they had.  I got the coolest Broom to ride around for Halloween or any time I feel particularly witchy!!!  Wheeeeeee

Halloween Cuties

Shae and I went to Kue! and got lucky on their lucky board.  We both won the cute Halloween outfit she is wearing, along with pumpkins and a basket.  Just to be different, I decided to wear the one I bought with the shoes and hairbow I won.  The suckers are a daily random freebie.  There are a lot of fun Halloween items at Kue!!!

Shae Doing the Bone Dance

Shae and I were busy on the Gone Fishing Hunt for October and we got a very special Halloween Gift from Duggy Bing of Cartoonimals.  Here is a picture of Shae dancing with her new Skeletal Partner.  Now we don't have to go to any Halloween dances without a date.  He also came with a bunch of his own dances. Woot!!!

I must say it is an improvement for Shae from some of the other dates she has been seen with from time to time. 

Bentham Forest Quests

Tonight Shae and I went on a quest through a haunted forest called Bentham Forest on the Wasted Night Sim. Well, actually, we went on 4 quests altogether.

First of all, it is an absolutely beautiful sim.  The builder did an outstanding job.  It was just the right amount of creepy in places.  I enjoyed wandering around looking for the quest items.  I took so many pictures, I think my computer started groaning at one point.  Or maybe it was something on the sim.

So, the quests.  Well, we had to talk to two mushroom guys, an old tree and a crystal.  We had to find the items each requested by looking for little beacons in the right colors.  Then we took all the items and rezzed them on a stone slab in front of each guy and then clicked the slab.  After that, each quest giver gave us a special item.  

We had the most fun even though I felt like I kept going in circles. Well, I wasn't the only one that got lost.  Shae is still out there trying to find her way around....

Our New Blog....Wheeeeeee

Here it is!!!!  A Brand New Shiny Blog.  We have been having such a good time in Second Life, we just had to let the whole world know.  We have been very busy taking in all that Second Life has to offer and wow, it is a lot!!!!!

We promise to come back with more info, pictures and links but right now we need to go shopping, check out a few hunts, do some dancing and fishing and relaxing, and and, well, you know...
